What Is The Key To Happiness

Some people say happiness can be found in money and possessions. Because of this many people vie for this however, no matter how richer they get; they can’t find the happiness they sought for. Other people on the other hand find simple happiness in the absence of abundance in their lives. They may not be as rich as other wealthy people are, but they find genuine happiness in what they have. This only goes to say money can’t buy happiness.

The key to happiness for those discontented lies on acknowledging two things. First is that happiness is a choice. Second, happiness comes from within. Contrary to popular belief that it is something you can achieve out of a reward or a consequence of another event, it is a state of mind. You can cultivate it in your mind. It is a choice. It is what rules your emotions, not your emotions rule over you. Being happy about how events have turned out is a choice. You can be happy and positive about it if you choose to despite the negativity some events may bring.
To be happy means to understand yourself and all the other factors that affects you. If there’s something that makes you unhappy, identify it. Check whatever causes your discontentment. As you go through identifying the facets of your life, you will get to know yourself. Ask yourself if the cause of your unhappy state is because you find yourself lacking when compared to others or you feel you are inadequate. Check if it’s something that you don’t possess that causes this unhappiness you feel. These questions lead you to pinpoint which part of yourself needs a change.
It’s true that finding happiness is not an easy business to meddle with. There are a lot of things to be done. You need to change some aspects in your life; how you think about them to recognize happiness. And more than that it is to identify that happiness should come from within you so no matter what materials you lose, you still keep the happiness within you. No one can take it away from you. Never associate happiness with material things like your dream house or an expensive car for time will come; they will not be as great as they once first looked. It’s crucial that you put your happiness somewhere safe that no one can influence nor take away, within you.
